A championship course wrapped around a moated château, on the edge of the forest of Fontainebleau — fifty kilometres from Paris and a world away from it. For members, guests, visiting golfers and corporate golf days.

Cély is the elegant surprise of the Paris golf map: an American-school course threaded with water, laid out across the old estate of Cély-en-Bière, with a château — moat, turrets and all — serving as one of the most beautiful clubhouses in France. The setting is pure Seine-et-Marne: the plain of Bière on one side, the forest of Fontainebleau and the painters' village of Barbizon on the other. What the estate does not have is a sensible way in without a car — no station, no bus that helps, and certainly nothing that carries a tour bag. A chauffeur makes the journey part of the pleasure: collected at your door, bags loaded for you, down the A6 and through the gates with time for coffee on the terrace before you are called to the first tee.

Airport → First Tee

Flying in to play? Flight-tracked pickups from CDG and Orly straight to the château — travel bags loaded for you, one or two golf bags in a saloon, a full four-ball in the Van.

Round + Return

Eighteen holes plus lunch at the château fills the day. Take the car on day disposal — it waits on the estate and leaves when you do — or schedule the return as a fixed second transfer.

Golf Days & Seminars

Corporate golf days and client entertainment at the château: several cars coordinated under one booking via our event service.

A chauffeur who knows the road to Cély-en-Bière

  • The A6 south, exit at the door — the Cély-en-Bière exit sits minutes from the estate: 50–70 min from Paris, 45–60 from Orly, 65–90 from CDG.
  • Clubs handled properly — bags loaded and unloaded by your chauffeur; a saloon takes one or two golf bags with luggage, the 7-seat Van a full four-ball with tour bags.
  • Timed to your tee time — margin built in for the périphérique and the A6, so you arrive for the practice green, not at a run.
  • Discretion on the estate — a quiet drop at the château, a chauffeur who parks away from the forecourt and stays reachable until the last putt drops.

From Paris and the airports — priced on the real distance

Cély is a genuine journey out of Paris, and we price it the honest way: per km on the real route driven, never below the class minimum — not the flat city fares we use inside Paris. From central Paris — the Gare de Lyon is the natural reference point for the south-east — the A6 delivers you to the château in 50 to 70 minutes. From Orly, the closest airport, the motorway runs almost gate to gate: 45 to 60 minutes, the shortest airport approach to any château clubhouse near Paris. From Paris-CDG, count 65 to 90 minutes: we track the flight, meet you in arrivals with a name sign, and you go from the jet bridge to the first tee without touching a timetable.

The fares below are honest starting points — "from" prices for the one-way run in Business Class, Business Van and First Class. Your exact all-inclusive price, tolls and waiting included, is confirmed the moment you book. A single golfer or a pair travels in Business Class; a four-ball with tour bags shares the Van; a host receiving clients at the château, or a guest who intends to arrive as one, takes First Class. For the round trip with 18 holes in between, day disposal is usually the smarter shape — quoted at booking.

Water, a château, and the best of the Bière plain around it

Where the historic clubs near Paris play firm and dry, Cély plays bold and blue. The course, opened in 1990 to a Robert Trent Jones design, brings the American school to the Île-de-France's doorstep: water in play through much of the round, cascades and carries, generous fairways that flatter the drive and greens that collect the careless approach. And then there is the nineteenth hole to end all nineteenth holes — a genuine château, ringed by its moat, where you change in vaulted rooms and take lunch looking over the water. It is a course built for hosting, which is exactly how most people discover it: a member's invitation, a client day, a society outing. Arriving rested, on the minute and with someone else worrying about the car simply completes the picture.

Cély also anchors one of the finest small circuits south of Paris. Barbizon, the village of Millet and the pre-Impressionists, is minutes from the gates; the Château de Fontainebleau, UNESCO-listed and eight centuries deep, is about a quarter of an hour; Vaux-le-Vicomte, the château that taught Versailles its manners, roughly half an hour. The classic shape: morning round at Cély, lunch on the estate, one great house or the painters' studios in the afternoon, Paris for dinner. On day disposal the chauffeur waits at every stop, keeps a change of clothes and your clubs aboard, and the schedule flexes with your scorecard. Our Paris to Fontainebleau guide maps the wider day in detail.

For companies, Cély is one of the great venues of the southern crescent — golf days, incentive mornings, seminars in the château salons. Our event service runs several cars and vans under one booking: staggered pickups across Paris hotels or the airports, vehicles on standby through the golf and the dinner, one grouped return at night. And if your plans in the 77 run beyond the fairways — the heathland course at Fontainebleau, the forest, a regular Paris run — our Fontainebleau chauffeur service covers the whole bassin.
