Why take a Paris night tour by private car
Watch the Eiffel Tower sparkle on the hour, admire the floodlit Arc de Triomphe, the Opéra, the Louvre pyramid, the bridges over the Seine and the golden dome of Les Invalides. Your chauffeur knows exactly where and when to stop for the best photos, away from the crowds.
After dark, Paris is spread out: the Eiffel Tower on one bank, Les Invalides and the Louvre further along the river, Sacré-Cœur on its hill to the north. On foot you would see two of them in an evening; by metro you would spend most of it underground. A private car links them in one loop. It sets you down where the view is, waits while you take your photos, and is warm and quiet when you get back in. No meeting point, no fixed departure: the car collects you at your hotel, apartment or restaurant and brings you back to the door three hours later.
It's the perfect romantic outing, a memorable family evening, or an elegant finale to a business trip — all from the comfort of a premium sedan. No walking in the cold, no public transport, no logistics — just a smooth three-hour loop of the most beautiful lit-up sights. Pause for a riverside photo, a hot chocolate or a quick stroll whenever you like.
Your Paris night tour, stop by stop
The tour lasts about 3 hours and starts once the city is fully dark. That depends on the season: in midwinter it is dark before 6 pm, around midsummer not until after 10.30 pm, so we set the pick-up time with you when you book. Here is a typical autumn evening, timed so you stand on the Trocadéro when the Eiffel Tower sparkles.
- 8:30 pm — Pick-up. Your chauffeur meets you at your hotel, apartment or the restaurant where you have just had dinner.
- 8:45 pm — Champs-Élysées and the Arc de Triomphe. A slow drive up the avenue to the floodlit arch and around the Étoile. This one is seen from the car: the traffic around the arch leaves no place to stop.
- 8:55 pm — Trocadéro. The car sets you down by the esplanade. Across the Seine the tower glows gold, and at 9:00 it sparkles for five minutes. Stay twenty minutes or so; it is the photograph most people came for.
- 9:25 pm — Pont Alexandre III and Les Invalides. Across the river and along the quays to Pont Alexandre III: its lamps and gilded statues in the foreground, the golden dome of Les Invalides at the end of the esplanade. A fifteen-minute stop.
- 9:50 pm — The Louvre. Along the Seine to the palace. Your chauffeur sets you down as close as traffic rules allow and you walk into the Cour Napoléon, where the pyramid is lit from within against the palace façades. Allow twenty minutes.
- 10:15 pm — Opéra Garnier. A drive past the floodlit façade on the way north.
- 10:35 pm — Montmartre and Sacré-Cœur. The car climbs as close as Montmartre's narrow streets allow; the last stretch is on foot. From the steps below the basilica the whole city lies at your feet. Half an hour, more if you want to wander.
- 11:10 pm — Back down the hill. Your chauffeur drives you home, or to a late table if you have one booked.
- Around 11:30 pm — Drop-off. Three hours after pick-up, at your door.
The order can change. If you are staying near the Eiffel Tower, we can start at Sacré-Cœur and finish at the Trocadéro for a later sparkle. If stairs are difficult, tell us and we replace Montmartre with a longer drive along the lit quays of the Seine.

Check your evening ↗Practical tips for a Paris night tour
- Timing. The Eiffel Tower sparkles for the first five minutes of every hour after nightfall. Tell us your dinner plans and we fit the loop around them, so that one of those five minutes finds you on the Trocadéro, not in traffic.
- Before or after dinner. Both work. Before dinner, the tour can end at your restaurant; after dinner, the chauffeur collects you at the restaurant door. Give us the address when you book.
- What to wear. The Trocadéro and the Montmartre steps are exposed to the wind, and evenings are cool from October to April. Bring a coat you can step out in, and shoes for cobbles and stairs.
- Photos. Phones handle night shots well if you hold still and let them take a second. The stops are long enough to set up a small camera; the car keeps your bags while you shoot.
- Rain. The tour runs in any weather. Wet cobbles and quays reflect the lights, and the car is never more than a few steps away.
- With children. Three hours in the evening is manageable for most children, especially as they ride between stops rather than walk. Tell us their ages and we keep the stops short.
Is a private Paris night tour worth it?
It depends on what you want from the evening, and the alternatives are good ones.
A night bus tour on a double-decker costs a fraction of a private car and comes with commentary, so you learn what you are looking at. For a solo traveller or a couple on a budget, it is the sensible choice. The trade-off: the bus follows its route and timetable, you watch from your seat, and you do not step off at the Trocadéro when the tower begins to sparkle.
A Seine cruise shows the monuments from the water, with the bridges passing overhead, and is also much cheaper per person. But it stays on the river: no Sacré-Cœur, no Opéra, no Arc de Triomphe, and you share the deck with the other passengers.
A private car costs more and does not come with commentary, because your chauffeur drives rather than guides. What it gives you is the freedom to step out, stay as long as the view holds you, change the order and be collected at your door. It makes most sense for couples marking an occasion, families with children who would tire on foot, photographers who want time at each stop, and groups of four to seven, for whom the Van at €625 brings the cost per person much closer to the alternatives. If you want the history explained, take the bus or a guided walk. If you want Paris at night on your own terms, take the car.

Can the tour end at a restaurant?
Yes. Give us the address when you book and your chauffeur drops you there at the end of the evening instead of at your hotel.
