When by-the-hour hire is the smart choice

A by-the-hour chauffeur (2-hour minimum) is the most flexible way to move around Paris when your day has several stops. Instead of booking separate transfers, you keep the same car and driver who waits for you between meetings, shops, viewings or sights — and adapts on the spot if your plans change. It is ideal for business roadshows across Paris and La Défense, a shopping day on the Champs-Élysées and Avenue Montaigne, film or photo shoots, and tailored sightseeing at your own pace.

Pricing is simple and transparent: Business Class from €79/hour, Business Van from €109/hour and First Class from €150/hour, billed by the hour with 25 km included per hour. For excursions outside the capital — Versailles, Giverny, Reims and the Champagne houses, Chantilly or the Normandy coast — a half-day or full-day booking lets you enjoy the trip while your chauffeur handles the route, parking and timing.

Is mileage included?

Yes, a fair mileage allowance is included for in-city use; long excursions are quoted as a fixed all-inclusive price.

What is the minimum duration for hourly hire?

Two consecutive hours — enough for a business lunch with the car waiting, or two back-to-back appointments. Beyond that, billing is simply by the hour: a half-day or a full day is the hourly rate multiplied by the number of hours, with no thresholds and no hidden packages.

What happens if I run over the time I booked?

Nothing complicated: tell your chauffeur, he stays with you, and the additional time is billed at the same hourly rate as the rest of the assignment. If you already suspect your day may run long, mention it when booking: we will hold the chauffeur for longer so the car never has to leave you.

Can we leave Paris during an hourly booking?

Yes. Versailles, Chantilly, La Vallée Village or a meeting in the outer suburbs fit naturally into the day: the twenty-five kilometres included per hour absorb most of these journeys. For genuine excursions — Reims and the Champagne houses, Giverny, Normandy — we quote a fixed all-inclusive price instead, which works out better than an hourly count.

Does the chauffeur wait on site during my appointments?

Yes — that is the whole point of hourly hire. The chauffeur parks close by, handles the parking himself and remains directly reachable by phone or message. When you come out, the car is at the door within minutes. That waiting time is included in your booking, however long it lasts.

Can we change the programme during the day?

At any time. Add a stop, drop one, reorder the addresses, extend into the evening: a word to your chauffeur is all it takes, with no new booking to make. This is precisely what sets hourly hire apart from a transfer — the programme is yours, the logistics are ours.

How does payment work for a company?

For a one-off assignment, payment is by card or secure link, with an invoice in the company's name showing VAT. For regular needs — roadshows, congresses, executive travel — we open a corporate account: your teams book online, by e-mail or by phone, and you receive centralised invoicing with a dedicated point of contact.

Hourly hire or transfer: which do you need?

A transfer takes you from point A to point B: the price is fixed in advance for that journey, and the chauffeur's job ends when you step out. Hourly hire works differently: you reserve the car and the chauffeur for a set duration, and for that time they are yours. The chauffeur waits outside each appointment, moves through your addresses in whatever order you choose, and absorbs delays or last-minute changes with nothing to renegotiate. The rule of thumb is simple. For one or two isolated journeys in a day — the airport in the morning, a restaurant in the evening — a transfer remains the more economical option. As soon as your day involves three or more stops, uncertain timings or waiting between engagements, hourly hire becomes more comfortable, and often better value than a string of separate rides. It is also the only arrangement that guarantees you the same chauffeur and the same car from your first appointment to your last.

What your reserved hour includes

For the entire duration of your booking, your chauffeur remains at your disposal: waiting time, however long, is part of the service and is never billed as an extra. You are free to add stops as you go, with no need to announce them in advance — the itinerary takes shape over the course of the day, on a word to your chauffeur. Every hour of hire includes twenty-five kilometres, comfortably enough for a full Paris day, La Défense included. Tolls and parking are covered: finding somewhere to wait and working out where to collect you is the chauffeur's problem, not yours. Chilled water is waiting on board, and the cabin is refreshed between stops. You choose the vehicle to suit the day: a Mercedes E-Class, a V-Class seating up to seven for a team or a family, an S-Class when you are hosting a distinguished guest, or the fully electric EQE and EQS. Our chauffeurs speak English and French, know the entrances of the city's hotels and head offices, and stay directly reachable throughout the assignment.

How our clients actually use it

Hourly chauffeur hire earns its keep the moment a day becomes dense. A round of business meetings across the 8th arrondissement, the Marais and La Défense: you prepare for the next meeting while your chauffeur deals with the traffic. An investor roadshow: six meetings, timings that slip, and a car that is always waiting downstairs. A film shoot or location scout: the vehicle follows the crew and the equipment stays safely on board. Private days follow the same logic. A shopping day between the Faubourg Saint-Honoré and Avenue Montaigne, bags dropped in the boot between boutiques. Sightseeing at your own pace, with photo stops at the Trocadéro, in Montmartre or on the Pont Alexandre III. Accompanying a delegation or visiting guests in a V-Class seating up to seven. A trade fair at Porte de Versailles or Villepinte, with runs back to the hotel during the day. Or a wedding, where the car links town hall, ceremony and reception without ever keeping anyone waiting.
