36 holes, one day out — and how to shape it
The 36 holes at Courson are the course's best argument: four combinable nines, each with its own character — water carries here, tree-lined doglegs there, wide-open holes where the wind off the plain becomes the main hazard. It means the day flexes. Play a serious morning eighteen and stop for lunch on the terrace; or start with nine to shake off the flight, eat, then walk the other eighteen in the afternoon light. The clubhouse looks out over countryside in every direction, and the silence — genuinely rural, forty minutes from the périphérique — is half of what people come for. Green-fee visitors are welcome; book your tee time with the club, and we will handle everything on either side of it.
The practical shape of the day is simple. On day disposal the car stays at the club: your chauffeur waits through the round, keeps street clothes and a spare layer aboard, and the return leaves when you decide — after the 18th, after the 27th, or after one more coffee. Golfers on a tighter schedule book the return as a fixed second transfer instead, timed to a shower and a drink after the round. And if the non-golfers in the party want their own afternoon, the same car can drop them in the Chevreuse valley — Dampierre, Chevreuse, the country lanes of the regional park — or at the Domaine de Courson next door, whose listed landscape park is one of the quiet treasures of the Essonne, and collect everyone together for the drive home.
For companies, Courson is a favourite equation: a genuine 36-hole venue, an hour or less from most of Paris, with room to run a shotgun start and a dinner. Our event service coordinates several cars and vans under one booking — staggered pickups across hotels or the airports, vehicles on standby through the golf and the prize-giving, one grouped return at night. If your golf plans go further afield, our pages on the Golf National and the Golf de Fontainebleau cover the other great courses south and west of Paris. For a tailored programme, talk to us directly.
