Meet & Greet Gare du Nord — VIP Station Welcome

A dedicated greeter is waiting at your carriage door as the train stops, takes your luggage and walks you through the station to your chauffeur. On departure, the same escort takes you right to your seat. Add it to any transfer for €350 per welcome.

Book the Gare du Nord meet & greet ↗

With a standard transfer, your chauffeur parks in the underground car park and then comes up to meet you at the head of the train whenever he can. It works well, and it is included. The VIP welcome goes a step further. A dedicated greeter from Well'Com Rail — our greeter partner at Gare du Nord — is already standing on the platform when the train pulls in, hands free for your bags, and stays with you until the car door closes. In Europe's busiest station, spread over several levels, you feel the difference from the first minute.

What the VIP welcome includes

A greeter at your carriage

Name board in hand, on the platform before the train arrives, level with your coach. Nothing to look for, nobody to phone.

Porter service for your luggage

Suitcases, golf bags, a pushchair: the greeter takes everything from the train step to the boot of the car, stairs and lifts included.

Escort from door to door

He guides you through the station down to the underground car park and hands you over to your chauffeur. On departure, the same in reverse, all the way to your seat.

On arrival, minute by minute

VIP meet and greet with porter at the head of the train, Gare du Nord
  • The day before. Your confirmation names your greeter and your chauffeur, with the car model and licence plate. We have your train number and coach.
  • Before the train arrives. The greeter is in position on the platform, level with your coach. The chauffeur is already parked underground.
  • As you step off. Your name is on the board at the carriage door. The greeter takes your bags; all you do is follow.
  • Through the station. Off a Eurostar there are no checks in Paris — passports were done in London. The greeter picks the shortest route to the car-park lifts, avoiding the busiest corridors.
  • At the car. He walks you to the vehicle, introduces your chauffeur and loads the boot. You are on your way.
Why the car waits underground ↗

Since 13 July 2026 the Préfecture de Police requires taxis and private-hire cars to drop off and wait for passengers in the Gare du Nord underground car park (entrance via rue de Compiègne). The rule, what it means for you and how to avoid touts are covered on our Gare du Nord chauffeur page and in the pick-up rules guide. The VIP welcome is the most comfortable answer to it: the walk between platform and car park is no longer your problem — someone who knows it by heart does it for you.

On departure: from the car to your seat

Departures are often where travellers feel most on their own: the car pulls away, the station opens up in front of you, and you still have to find the right level, the right queue, the right platform. With the VIP welcome, the greeter is waiting as you step out of the car in the underground car park. He takes the luggage and escorts you according to your train:

  • Eurostar to London. Escort to check-in, then through security and passport control, which take place in Paris before boarding. He leaves you at your coach, at your seat.
  • Eurostar (formerly Thalys) to Brussels, Amsterdam and Cologne, TGV and Intercités. No border checks: straight to the platform, then to your coach and seat. Ideal when you travel heavy or on a tight schedule.

Coming in from an airport? The airport – Gare du Nord transfer and the VIP welcome are booked together; we time the pick-up around your flight and your train's check-in deadline.

Who the VIP welcome really changes the journey for

Lots of luggage

Two large cases each, a stay of several weeks, equipment to carry: Gare du Nord is hard work with full hands. The greeter carries; you walk light.

Children or elderly parents

An extra pair of hands for the pushchair, a gentler pace, lifts instead of stairs. Your hands stay free for your own family.

Delegations and guests

Executive assistants, hotel concierges, tour operators: receive a client, a CEO or a group properly, with a name on a board from the moment the train door opens.

For a delegation of more than 4 people or an arrival needing several cars, write to us via the contact page: we plan the number of greeters and vehicles — Business Van for up to 7 passengers or First Class in a Mercedes S-Class.

A chauffeur's view

Since the car has had to wait underground, we go up to meet our passengers at the head of the train as soon as we have parked, and most of the time it goes smoothly. But there are arrivals where you wish you were two people: a couple with four suitcases and a baby on a Friday evening, a chief executive being received by an assistant who wants everything just right, a family whose train is pulling in while we are still looking for a space. That is what the VIP welcome is for. The greeter is on the platform, we are at the car, and the passenger moves from one to the other without ever carrying a bag or wondering where to go.

Gare du Nord Meet & Greet FAQ

How late can I book the Gare du Nord meet and greet?

Up to 6 pm the day before your train. That gives our partner Well'Com Rail time to assign your greeter and prepare the name board. For a later request, call us on +33 1 53 26 04 33 and we will do our best, without guarantee.

How many passengers can one greeter look after?

Up to 4 passengers per greeter, luggage included. For a delegation, a large family or a group, we add a second greeter and as many vehicles as needed — request a quote through our contact page.

What happens if my train is delayed?

We track your Eurostar, TGV or Intercités in real time. Both greeter and chauffeur shift to the actual arrival time, and the waiting costs you nothing extra.

Where is the car at Gare du Nord?

In the station's underground car park, entrance via rue de Compiègne: since 13 July 2026 the Paris Préfecture de Police requires all taxis and private-hire vehicles to drop off and wait there. That is exactly why the greeter exists — no hunting for the right level or lift, you are handed straight to your chauffeur at the car. Full details in our Gare du Nord pick-up guide.

For a Eurostar departure, how early should I get to Gare du Nord?

Your Eurostar ticket states the check-in closing time; security and passport checks happen in Paris before boarding and take longer than for a domestic TGV. We plan the drop-off around that closing time with a comfortable margin, and your greeter walks you through check-in and the controls to your seat.

Is the meet and greet suitable for children, elderly parents or reduced mobility?

It is one of its best uses. Tell us when booking: the greeter sets a gentle pace, uses the lifts rather than the stairs and handles the pushchair or folding wheelchair alongside the suitcases. If you have also booked the station's or Eurostar's official assistance, the greeter liaises with them.

Do you offer the VIP welcome at other Paris stations?

Yes, on request: Gare de Lyon, Gare Montparnasse, Gare Saint-Lazare and Gare de l'Est. Gare du Nord remains the station where the service makes the biggest difference, given its size and multiple levels.

Can I cancel the meet and greet?

Yes. The cancellation terms for the welcome and the transfer are given to you at booking, before any payment. A change of train time is handled with a simple message or a call to the number in your confirmation.
