The Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud — and a season of pure flat racing
The Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud, run in July over 2,400 metres, is the racecourse's Group 1 crown — a mid-summer test for the best older horses in Europe and a classic stop on the road between Chantilly's classics and the autumn showdowns at ParisLongchamp. It is also the one day the hillside truly fills: owners, trainers and international visitors converge, the limited parking is gone by mid-morning, and the pre-booked cars are the ones that glide out first when the crowd walks. We run all day — airport pickups for connections flying in, staggered hotel collections for groups, and a fixed return the moment the last race is run. Book a few days ahead for Grand Prix day.
The rest of the season keeps a gentler rhythm — weekday and Sunday cards from late winter to late autumn, ending with the Critérium de Saint-Cloud, the Group 1 that crowns the two-year-olds in November. Regulars keep it simple with a chauffeur on hourly disposal — €79/h in Business Class, €109/h in a Business Van, €150/h in First Class, 2-hour minimum: the car waits through the card, holds your coats and winnings between races, and leaves whenever you do. Some pair the races with the neighbouring Domaine national de Saint-Cloud — Le Nôtre's terraced park with its long view over Paris — for a full afternoon on the west bank; your chauffeur simply carries you from one gate to the other.
For hospitality tables and corporate race days, our event service coordinates several cars and vans under one booking — one contact, staggered pickups, a single grouped return. Owners and connections who want the quietest possible day take First Class, with a chauffeur used to paddock timing and discreet exits. Staying or living nearby? Our Saint-Cloud chauffeur service covers the whole town year-round. For a multi-car programme, talk to us directly — those are quoted per programme.
