By the hour: a car at your disposal in Saint-Germain
Much of what we do in the 6th is not a transfer but a day. A chauffeur on hourly hire — €79/h in Business Class, €109/h in a Business Van, €150/h in First Class, 2-hour minimum — stays with you: a morning through the galleries of rue de Seine and rue des Beaux-Arts with purchases going straight into the boot; fittings and boutiques between Saint-Sulpice and the carrefour de la Croix-Rouge; a publisher's afternoon of meetings between the houses of rue des Saints-Pères and a jury dinner across the river. Collectors visiting for an auction or a fair keep the same car all day — and never carry anything further than the kerb.
Two Left Bank realities come up weekly. The first is that the 6th's best addresses hide on streets cars barely fit through: your chauffeur knows which end of rue Jacob to approach from, where to wait near the place de Fürstenberg, and coordinates by message so the car appears as you step out. The second is the evening: a premiere at the Théâtre de l'Odéon, a reception at the Institut de France on the quai de Conti, a late table near the Flore or the Deux Magots — the chauffeur drops you at the door and is there when you come out, which matters in a quarter where taxis stop cruising long before the conversation ends.
For weddings at Saint-Sulpice, a vernissage with guests arriving from three hotels, or a literary prize evening, our event service coordinates several cars and drivers in matching standard. Galleries, maisons d'édition and firms based in the 6th open a business account for monthly invoicing and priority booking — corporate terms are quoted per account.
